We continue our tour to the Pedagogical Academy. First we will visit the Prefecture of Heraklion Building. The specific building was built in the 16th c. and was initially used as a military camp and later on housed the Cretan High School of Heraklion. During the Period of the Cretan State (1901-1903) the first Teaching School operated, the “Teacher’s Workshop” (Proclaimed Proceedings of the House of Parliament, July 13, 1902)
